Martin Monroe 'Mutt' Karr, 86, formerly of Sheldon, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2003 at Osage Care Center, Osage Beach, MO, following a lengthy illness. He was born November 9, 1916 in California, MO, to Martin Monroe Karr, Sr. and Winnie Elizabeth Bilyeu Karr. He married Anna Louise Chadd on April 5, 1941 in Miami, OK, and she survives of the home. Mr. Karr was a farmer most of his career, residing near Sheldon, MO. In recent years Monroe and Louise enjoyed retirement at the Lake of the Ozarks, Osage Beach, MO area. Monroe was a member of the Dunnegan Grove Christian Church near Sheldon. He is survived by his wife, Anna Louise Karr of the home; one son, Martin Glenn Karr and his wife Betty Jean, Osage Beach, MO; one daughter, Connie Jolene Parker and her husband Frank, Mountain Home, AR; three grandchildren, Kerry Karr, Denise Ladyman, and Kevin Parker; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Emmett Karr, Whittier, CA; five sisters, Mary Hoodenpyle, Vinita, OK, Erma Van Every, Nevada, MO, Freda Van Every, Miami, OK, Alice Potts, Denver, CO, and Frances Chedshire, Ocean Beach, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Robert Lawrence, Donald Lee, and Cecil Eugene; one sister, Anna Ruth, and one great-granddaughter, Erin Nicole Karr. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, at Beeny-Ferry Funeral Home, Sheldon, MO, with John Nichols officiating. Interment will follow in Sheldon Cemetery, Sheldon, MO.
