ALENE "DAISY" MAUCHER, 85, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Carbon Glow, Ky., she co-founded Allen Business Machines with her husband, Elmer. She was a former member of West Creighton Avenue Christian Church and a current member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church. "Daisy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful homemaker who enjoyed traveling." On Nov. 18, 1950, she married Elmer Maucher; he survives. Also surviving are her sons, Dan (Terri) Maucher of Fort Wayne and Mark (Cyndy) Maucher of Hoagland; sister, Irene Moon of Greensburg, Ky.; and grandchildren, Luke, Chelsea, Lynsey and Lesley Maucher. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Emma Banks; and sister, Dorothy McCracken. Service is 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 2417 Getz Road, with calling one hour prior. Dr. Derek Weber and Chaplain Douglas Vogel officiating. Calling also from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 9, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
