Virginia Inez Chapman Fendell, 101, Cave City, passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at Frankfort Medical Center, Frankfort, KY. The Barren County native was born on September 1st, 1909 to the late Roscoe Conklin Chapman and Julia Ethel Martin Chapman and was the widow of her husband of 54 years, Henry Lee Fendell. She was a retired teacher, having taught in the Barren Co. School System for 33 ½ years, a member of K.E.A. and the oldest living member of Bethel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Nancy Brown Fendell; three grandchildren, Trinette Berry, Joseph Fendell, Tabitha Clatos; four great grandchildren, Tanesha Aton, Malachi Reardon, Savannah Reardon and Holli-ann Reardon. She was preceded in death by a son, Maxie Lee Fendell.
Funeral services with Larry Lowe officiating will be at 2 PM Friday, August 26th at the Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel with burial in the Cave City Cemetery.
