Ville Platte - Ernest Clark, 75, of Ville Platte, died at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday at his home here. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from Lake Cove Pentecostal Chruch with Rev. Dillard Holloway officiating. Burial will be in Turkey Creek Cemetery under direction of Ardoin Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Mr. Clark was a retired timber merchant and a native of this area.
He is survived by two sons, James Clark of Turkey Creek, and Everette Clark of Forest Hill; four daughters, Mrs. Esma Clark, Mrs. Elmer Miley, and Mrs. Evelyn Johnson, all of Turkey Creek, and Mrs. Edna Mae Vidrine of Lecompte; three brothers, George, Evans and William L. Clark, all of Turkey Creek; four sisters, Mrs. George Ferrand, Mrs. W.F. Chappel, both of Turkey Creek, Mrs. Jasper Ray of DeRidder, and Mrs. L.H. Stanfield of DeQuincy; 21 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
