Robert Osborne Found in Park Settee
Dead From Carbolic Acid.

JACKSONVILLE, Ill., April 30. -- The body of Robert N. Osborne was found cold in death at 7:30 o'clock Tuesday morning by Frank Kitner, custodian of Nichols park, when he made his regular trip to the park. The body was sitting on the bench on the north side of the room in the pavilion with the head doubled over almost to the knees and hte hands out spread on either of the knees.
In the pocket of the deceased was found a four ounce bottle half full of carbolic acid, giving conclusive evidence of the means employed to end his life. He had been a sufferer from melancholia.
He is survived by a wife and three children, his mother, Mrs. R. T. Osborne, and four sisters, Mrs. C. C. Phelps and Mrs. Frank Best, of this city, Mrs. Jessie Metcalf of Girard, and Miss Georgia L. Osborne, assistant state librarian at Springfield, and one brother, William C. Osborne of this city.
