Marie H. Parks, 95

Marie H. Parks, 95, a former Wolcott resident, died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2001, at Zionsville Meadows Nursing Home, Zionsville, where she had resided since June 1998.

She was born on June 13, 1906, in Rensselaer, to Abe and LoRetta Kepner Wartena. She married Russell J. Parks on Aug. 31, 1925. He died in 1986.

She attended Rensselaer schools.

She was a member of Wolcott Christian Church and was a member of the CWF of the Christian Church.

She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of Wolcott Chapter 171 OES.

Surviving are grandchildren Jamie Neece and Julie White, both of Zionsville, and Rusty Parks of San Angelo, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.

A sister and sons James Parks, Bill Parks and Jon Parks are deceased.

Visitation will be held today from 3-8 p.m. at Foster Funeral Home, Wolcott. Eastern Star services are scheduled at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. The funeral will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Paul Remick officiating.

Burial will be at Weston Cemetery, Rensselaer.
