On January 26, 1859, Abigail was united in marriage to Francis H. Cutting. Francis was born March 15, 1835 in Otsego County, New York, son of John F. Cutting and Sallie Chapin, also born in that state. He died April 2, 1925 at Bloomer, Chippewa Co., Wis., aged 90 years and 17 days and was buried there in the Bloomer Cemetery. His military style gravestone is inscribed “Corpl. Francis H. Cutting Co. A 50 Wis. Inf. March 15, 1835 – April 2, 1925” and “Mother June 6, 1841 – May 27, 1917.” Their three children were: Ellen Elmira, b. 5 Nov 1859, born dead; William Griffiths, b. 12 Aug 1861; & Emeline Lititia, b. 8 Apr 1863.
