Daughter of Frank & Josephine (Shinn) Yoble. She moved from the Barneston area to Pawnee County near DuBois, Nebraska in 1903 with her parents and siblings. This is where she grew to young womanhood and graduated from DuBois High School.

She was married Jan. 20, 1915 to Louis Votroubek. To this union two daughters were born, Olga Louise and Cenith Josephine. They lived on farms near Barneston and DuBois in the early part of their marriage, moving to Long Beach, California in the 1950's, where they remained the rest of their lives.

Siblings: Half-sisters, Maggie Emma & Sadie May; Sisters, Blanche Anna and Olga Christina; one brother, Edmund Frank.
