ALICE MYRTLE COOPER, 79, of Friendswood, Texas passed away on October 5, 2011 in Houston, Texas. She was born in Houston, Texas to Henry and Alice Krog on July 19, 1932. Alice graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Houston, Texas. She graduated from University of Houston with a degree in Elementary Education. She taught grades 1 and 2 for 28 years in Houston. She played the piano and organ for many years for church services. Alice taught piano lessons. She enjoyed traveling to Colorado and other locations. Alice enjoyed sigh-seeing, photography, bird watching and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, William Krog.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 plus years, William Cooper; son, James B. Cooper; brothers, John Krog and Robert Krog; sister, Margaret "Peggy" Elsenbrock; and grandson, Brian S. Cooper.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the funeral service following at 11:00 A.M., 311 N. Friendswood Drive, Friendswood, Texas 77546 with Rev. Rosemary Dubois officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery in Webster, Texas.
