Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Friday evening. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to services at the church.
Karen was born April 20, 1955, in Bismarck to John and Sally (Bernhardt) Gefreh. She was raised and educated in Bismarck, graduating from St. Mary's Central High School. Following high school, Karen attended UND, where she graduated with a business degree. She worked at Norby's and Dayton's in Grand Forks before moving to Bismarck to help open the Bismarck Dayton's. While working in Bismarck, she obtained her master's degree from the University of Mary. Karen worked at Dayton's until 2002, when she bought the Peasant Run Restaurant in Linton.
Karen loved being active and was an active member of the Linton Chamber of Commerce. She enjoyed gardening, cross-stitching, playing cards and cooking.
