ROBERT D. SHEFF
Robert D. Sheff, 76, of 134 E. Hickory St. died at 11:20 p.m. Friday at Graham Hospital.
He was born Feb. 7, 1909 in Lewistown, the son of Cleve and Ora (Hughes) Sheff. He married Mary Burrows March 9, 1929 in Havana. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Kenneth Sheff of Forest City; one daughter, Mrs. Garnet Wyant of Jonesboro, Ark,; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ruth Bordwine of Bryant.
One son, one grandson and one sister preceded him in death.
He was a farmer and worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 21 1/2 years before retiring in 1972. He was a member of the Smithfield Sportsman's Club and a former member of the Fulton County Boat Club.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home, the Rev. William Harsin officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the memorial home. burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery in Lewistown.
Memorials may be made to the Fulton County heat Fund or to the Diabetes Foundation.
