Dies at Elwood
Jacob Luther (Lute) Dever, of Hobbs, died Wednesday at the Dickey Nursing home in Elwood, where he had been a patient for three months. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Copher-Fesler Funeral home in Elwood. The body will lie in state at the funeral home, where friends may call after 7 p.m. today. Born in Tipton county on Aug. 13, 1882, he was the son of Henry and Amanda Dever. Surviving are two sons, Arthur Dever, of Pendleton, and Oval Dever, of 'Elwood, a daughter, Mrs. Irene Anspach, of Fort Wayne, 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Another son, Loran, is deceased.
