Service: Daniel Taylor listed as a private at Hillsdale, N.Y. in 1781 in the 2nd Claverack Batallion, in the 9th Albany Co. Regt., Col. Peter Van Ness commanding. The company was also under command of Capt. John McKinstry and Capt. Abram Hawley. Served at least six months and 28 days.

Remarks: Daniel Taylor and his wife are buried in an old farm cemetery called the Crandall-Hill-Ward Cemetery in the town of Rodman, Jefferson County, N.Y.
