Margaret Shuck was born 1768 near Shepherdstown, in what was Frederick County, Virginia (now West Virginia). She died 16 October 1852 at Marion County, Kentucky.She is buried with her husband in the Tharp Family Cemetery in Marion County, Kentucky. She married Periah (Perry) Peter Tharp married 24 December 1785. She was the daughter of Andrew Shuck.
In the 1850 Census Records it shows Margaret as living with her son Andrew and his family and it shows her age as 83.

Suck) Deposition of Andrew Tharp, taken 10 March 1846, son of Perry and Margaret Tharp his wife, states that he is their fifth child.
