Services for Brian Scott Carr, 31 of Liberty City will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore, Texas, with Rev. Eddie Scott officiating. Burial will be in Santa Maria Cemetery in Santa Maria, California.

Brian Scott passed away Saturday, August 6, 2011, at Good Shepherd Medical Hospital in Longview, Texas.

Brian Scott Carr was born September 20, 1979, in Longview, Texas, to Ron and Jean Carr, and was a lifetime resident of Liberty City. He graduated from Sabine High School in Liberty City in 1999.

He was volunteering at Foodland (a local Affiliated Grocery store). Brian was active in Kilgore Soccer Association (Bears), Sabine Youth Flag football, Sabine Middle School Choir, and Longview/Kilgore Special Olympics. Brian's first jobs included manager for the Sabine High School Football teams (Cardinals), and manager for the Gladewater High School Football team (Bears).
Brian was welcomed and visited several local churches in Liberty City, Longview, and Tyler.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Randy Carr of Liberty City, Texas; grandmother, Norma Hogg of Santa Maria, California; grandparents, John and Alice Korpal of Santa Maria; aunts and uncles, Don and Margaret Carr of Santa Maria, Robert Carr of Santa Maria, Patricia Carr of Santa Maria; Susan Jones of Santa Maria, Charles and Mary Smith of Santa Maria, John and Terri Korpal of Denver, Colorado, Terry and Nancy Roller of Hanford, California, and Michael and Cindi Korpal of Lemoore, California; numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles.
