PIEDMONT - Services for Shellie Mae Allred, 94, of Piedmont will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mickelsen-McGee Funeral Home. The eulogy will be by Tony Garmon. Burial will be in Piedmont Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allred died Monday.
Survivors include four daughters, Imogene Tolbert of Piedmont, Betty Simpson of Centre and Lois Gilley and Sara Holbrook, both of Piedmont; a son, Harold Allred of Minnesota; a special nephew, Lawrence Livingston of Oklahoma; 17 grandchildren, Cheryl Hall, Barbara Jo Schlegal, Linda Sessions, Sandra Black, Michael Allred, Jan Amerson, Rinda Moore, Vickie Goss, Butch Tolbert, Geraldine Stowe, Becky Gilley, Nancy Fagan, Bryan Allred, Pam Roberts, Kelly Overton, Julie Blevins and Jeremy Gilley; 34 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Naugher, Jesse Little, Ward Overton, Jeff Ford, Gary Morris and Scott Ward.
Mrs. Allred was a lifelong resident of the Piedmont area and was a member of the Piedmont Church of Christ. She was a loving mother, friend and neighbor. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Allred Sr. and a son, J.B. Allred Jr.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Piedmont Rescue Squad or American Cancer Society.
