Funeral services fro Ned Taylor Graves, 71, St. James, Mo., were held Jan. 9 from he Garr Funeral Home in S. James with the Rev. Clarence H. Smith of the Methodist Church here officiating.
Graves died of a heart attack Jan. 6 at the Phelps County Hospital in Phelps, Mo. Burial was at the Masonic Cemetery in St. James.
Born in Washington Township, Story County, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Graves. He resided in Ames until his retirement in 1951, when he moved to St. James, Mo.
He attended Ames High School and Capital City Commercial College in Des MOines. He was married to Mable Erickson in 1914. While in Ames, he was employed by Iowa State University and by the Ames City water department. He was a director of Ames City Employee Credit Union for more than 20 years, The United Brethren Church, and the Odd Fellows Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Mable; two brothers, Vernice Graves, 1318 Kellogg Ave., and A.J. Graves, Paso Robles Cal.; and several nieces and nephews.
