He was born to Walter and Opal Knott William and is the grandson of Earl and Frances William. Attended school in Downs and Hoxie. He married Clytia Bell in WaKeeney, KS, 1936, lived in Morland community until their move to Osborne in 1941. He served in WW II for three years in France and Germany. Returned to Osborne after the war. He trucked for O. C. McFadden in 1937, eventually owning his own trucking business. He retired in 1981. He is survived by his wife, sons Daniel and Robert; daughters, Diane, Rebecca, and Louise; 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Carl, a sister Frances Cragg; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by Marvin Jr. in 1941, and Patricia Grace in 1984. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, Ronald William and Jewel Grace.
