Fred appears at age 13 living with his parents in June of 1870 during the US Census of Central City, but not thereafter.
He perhaps died in a mining accident the first week March 1874, as his father Corbit was involved in various mining concerns at that time...
Denver's "Daily Rocky Mountain News" of March 11th said:
"In Central, March 7, Fred. Bacon, in the 17th year of his age."
