They were married Hazleton, Pennsylvania August 8, 1875 and she died September 19, 1882. Julia Ann (Lau) Gilbert was his 2nd wife. They were married December 11, 1883 and she died August 12, 1905. Margaret (Jackson) Crispin Gilbert was his 3rd wife. They were married Huntingdon, Pennsylvania November 6, 1907 and she died February 6, 1931. He was a minister in the Central Pennsylvania Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He served Emporium Methodist Episcopal Church, Elk Co., Pennsylvania 1883-1886.
