His first wife was Keturah M Evans Briscoe, his second wife was Parthenia Smith Mitchell Briscoe, and his third wife was Icyphenia Hocker Hocker Tarkington Briscoe. He died on January 28, 1850, in his hometown at the age of 39, and was buried in Danville, Kentucky.
