Visitation will be Sunday at Hixson Brothers, Pineville from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:00 p.m. until service time.
Mr. McBride, 92, of Ball passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Grace Home Hospice.
He was a member of Kingsville Baptist Church. He retired as a Master Sergeant from the Louisiana National Guard, Camp Beauregard. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland and Central Europe from 1942 to 1945.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie H and Alice Coleman McBride; daughter, Pamela Joy McBride; brothers, Isaiah J. McBride, William Clarence McBride, Rufus M. McBride, Charley A. McBride, Oscar C. McBride, Jesse A. McBride; sisters, Frances M. Sharbano, Mary C. Gatlin, Bertie Hutchinson and Omeida Paul.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Frances Yvonne McBroom McBride; son, Shelton Edward McBride; daughters, Frances Jeanette Morton, Paula Gay Lawrence, Karen Denise Johnston; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
