A.J.F. Janes died at his home near Bibb Thursday night after a three months' sickness with typhoid fever and other complications. He was about 70 years of age, had been a citizen of Comanche county for many years. He was a very prominent man and a staunch populist, and was always very aggressive in all party campaigns in this county. He was a member of the Methodist church and lived a constant christian life. A wife and a number of grown sons and daughters survive. He was buried on Wednesday afternoon. His many friends morn his death.

Resolution By Sipe Springs Lodge A.F.& A.M.

Whereas, God in his infinite wisdom has seen fit to remove from our midst our beloved brother, A.J.F. Janes, we bow ourselves in humble submission to his will, and it is the sense of this lodge to extend to the bereaved family their heartfelt sympathy and condolence in this hour of affliction.
