He was born in The Bronx, NY on October 15, 1925. Raymond served as a Merchant Marine during WWII and later retired from ConEdison.
He is survived by his children Raymond J. Bastone Jr. and his wife Ann, Ramona Winter, Frank DeMasi, and Anne Motta, his brother Joseph, his sisters Rosemarie and Margie, nineteen grandchildren, and twenty-one great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Clara, son Sal, daughter Rosemary, brother Frank, and sisters Jayne and Lillian.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, Mahopac, with interment to follow at Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, NY.
