Elmer L. Button, 73 years of age, of Elkland, died Thursday, Nov. 20, 1986 at Broad Acres Nursing Home. Born May 18, 1913 in Galeton, he was the son of Lochial and Armenia Spencer Button. Mr. Button was an inventory clerk for the Ingersoll-Rand Co. He is survived by his wife, the former Lillian E. Webster; son and daughter-in-law, James E. and Glendalee Button of Pittsburgh; daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Harry Flynn, Lawrenceville, and Janice and Earl Stromberg of Port Allegheny; a sister, Mrs. Quinney [Velma] Freas, Elkland; 13 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Kenyon Funeral Home, Elkland. The Rev. Terry Spencer officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery, Elkland. Friends who wish may make memorial donations to the Dr. Williams Scholarship Fund, c/o Citizens & Northern Bank, Elkland, or the Cowanesque Valley Ambulance Association. - Wellsboro
