Helen D. Blimline, 90, formerly of Flying Hills, Cumru Township, passed away September 23, 2011 at 10:53 am in Berks County Home-Berks Heim. She was the wife of the late Elmer "Blimy" Blimline who passed away in 2002. Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Konstanty and Victoria (Piorkowska) Mierzejewski. She was employed as a general laborer for Maier's Bakery for 21 years and was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
Mrs. Blimline is survived by her son D. Gerald, husband of Carlene L. Searfoss of Spokane, WA; her daughter Judith A. Tobias, companion of Carroll Reidnauer of Flying Hills; stepsons, Randall, husband of Mary Jane Blimline, of North Carolina and Gene, husband of Judy Blimline, of Muhlenberg Township along with 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, William husband of Barbara Mierzejewski of Reamstown. She was preceded in death by her stepson, William Blimline, and sisters Louise Miller, Jean Gurtowski, Celia Wentzel and Frances Kerber.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church 250 South 12th Street, Reading, PA 19602 Friday, October 7, 2011 at 9:00 am., Rev. Leo Stajkowski celebrant. Interment Berks County Memorial Gardens at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the church Friday 8:30-9:00 am. Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Hampden Heights, is in charge of arrangements
