John came to America in approx. 1870. He married twice, 1st Marie, of which 8 or so children were born.Marie died in 1894, in Dexer, Texas. second wife, Toni (Antonia), she and John were married in November 1903, of which 4 children were born. Emma, Rosa,Amelia, and John, jr.The story I'm told: John moved to the United States with three brothers. John moved south to Texas. The brothers stayed north. John and 1st Wife Mary weaved their way from west Texas, Weatherford to Dexter, Tx, Cook County. They farmed and drove cattle up the cow trail(now Hwy 81) Okla to Mont.Children: Adolph and Mary born in Bohemia around 1870's, Joseph, Rudolph, Theordore, Bettie,Amelia and Amiel. Ruben married and settled for awhile in/around Randelt,Ok, off Hwy 70 S.W. Ok. Todd married, 1910 in Duncan,Ok Hwy 81, South Okla.

John's first wife, Mary, died in 1894 and was burried in the North Dexter Cemetery, Dexter, Tx. The family continued to weave their way through Indian and Oklahoma Territory before settling in Dudley, Ok, located 7 miles west of Moorewood,Ok.(on a dirt road) and about 4 miles north of Strong City, Ok and Cheyenne, Ok.

John's second marriage to Antonia (Toni) Vanecek Kouba was on November 30, 1903 in Washita County, Scheidel, Oklahoma. They had four children Emma, Rosa, Amelia, and John jr. After improving the land in northwestern Oklahoma, the land was sold. John moved to Colorado with his children and youngest son, John jr to live/farm along- side his other family members. Amiel,Joe,Ruben, and Todd. It seems Toni moved to Mena, Arkansas, Polk,Cty.Why?John moved to Mena, (when?) and lived with Toni and Amelia until his death in 1930. After John's death, Toni moved to San Francisco,California, I assume to be near her son John whom served in the Army. Amelia lived in St. Louis, Mo/AR? She later moved to San Francisco, married, divorced and remarried.
