Mary Jane McKinney was born December 20, 1918, peacefully passed away at home with her family by her side on Monday August 15, 2011. Beloved wife of G.C. McKinney; they had just celebrated their 69th Wedding Anniversary. Mother of Cleve (Terri) and Jim McKinney. Grandmother of Carolyn Wethington, Mike McKinney, Kim Lucas, Jennifer Pomplun, Luke McKinney and John McKinney. Great Grandmother of Ryan and Hannah Wethington, Sidney and Megan McKinney, Tanner and Skyler Lucas and Austin Bannon. Best Friend of 87 years to Loraine Wagenbach; The two were known as "Phoebe" (Jane) and "Lizzy" (Loraine); "The Glutz" Sisters to all who grew up with them at Golden High School. A Sisterly bond that lasted a lifetime. Jane Attended and graduated Golden high School Class of 1936. She was proud and honored to be a cheerleader all four years as she made the squad her Freshman year ~ unheard of in 1936. She was a world traveler with G.C. in Ports of Call Travel Club, as well as a Co-Founder and volunteer at Swedish Medical Center Auxiliary Thrift Shop for 25 years. Her sense of humor and stylish "Life of the Party" attitude were what made her "Our Jane". However, her greatest Crown of Glory was her beloved Grand Children and Great Grandchildren. As she was a positive, precious example as well as instrumental in their becoming the wonderful people they are today. Visitation Sun. 4 - 8 P.M. & Celebration of Life Mon. 11 A.M. both at Drinkwine Mortuary. Interment to Follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
