Mary Elizabeth Fry, daughter of Solomon Fry, was born September 27, 1853. She said she was born in LaSalle County, Illinois (perhaps Marsailles). I can not figure out when or why Solomon Fry was in LaSalle County, Illinois. The only connection would be that Solomon Fry's brother Adam Fry moved to LaSalle County, Illinois in the Fall of 1852.

As a teemager Mary Fry left her father's home in Missouria and went to stay with a Fry relative in Illinois (maybe her uncle Josiah Fry, a minister, who married her).

Mary Elizabeth Fry married February 13, 1873, Livingston County, Illinois, Samuel Perry Cox.

Samuel and Mary (Fry) Cox had 11 children:

1. Olive "Myrtle" Cox born 1873 in Illinois-d1941 m1894 William J. Farrar.
2. Bertha Arilla Cox born 1875 in Illinois-d1963 m John Albert Sydney Tuesburg.
3. Merrill Myrh Cox born 1877 in Illinois-d1951 m Myrtle Agnes Baillie.
4. Lela Fay Cox born 1879 in Illinois-d1956 m Alonzo Carlton Bolen.
5. Glenn Gale Cox (1882-1955) m 1/w Della Castleman, 2/w Nellie M. Quinn, 3/w Maude Ziegler.
6. Iva Lulu Cox (1884-1918) m 1/h Walter Cobbles, 2/h John King.
7. Ona May Cox
8. Wilder Erwin Cox (1890-1945) m Anna Cihak.

10. Lute Olin Cox (1895-1948) m Bonnie Emigh.
