History of Havana
Lester Sircoulomb built the two-storey brick store building on the north side of Main Street and operated a produce store. While it was new the upstairs was used for square dancing. [Sircoulomb Hall, built in 1925, is at 104 Mary Street.]

Lester W. Sircoulomb
Caney--Lester W. Sircoulomb, 87, died early this morning at his home in Caney.
Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the Graves Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Ken Hull, pastor of the First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon on Friday.
Lester W. Sircoulomb was born Sept. 18, 1894, at Havana, the son of William and Dorcas Katherine (Foster) Sircoulomb. He attended school at Havana and resided in Havana and Caney all his life. He had been a furniture and antique dealer.
He married Bleuma Baker at Tyro on June 29, 1913, and she died in 1973. He married Betty Watkins in September 1975 and she died in 1981.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Clyrene Phillips, Caney, and Mrs. Erlene Miller, Loco Hill, N.M.; one son, Lester Clair of Caney; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Four sisters and three brothers are deceased.
