Mrs. Griffith was born in Bluehill, Maine, and was a daughter of the late Harrison A. and Annie Dyer Tripp. She had been a resident of West Long Branch 17 years.
Her husband, Rev. William Edward Griffith, a Congregationalist minister, died in January, 1956, in Los Angeles. She was a member of the Tennent chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution of Allenhurst.
She is survived by a son, Paul Edward Griffith, with whom she made her home; a grandson, Paul Edward Griffith, Jr., and a sister, Mrs. Flora Cooper of Oregon.
The funeral was held Monday in the Worden funeral home with Rev. Theodore E. A. LeVan, rector of Old Christ Episcopal church, Shrewsbury, officiating. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery.
