Singular Deaths With Many Coincidences in Life and Death

Henry Garlitz and Morgan Robinson died about ten days ago on Pea Ridge in Garrett county. They lived on adjoining farms for most of their lives and their dual deaths came within an hour of each other. Their ages were the same, verging on 80 years; always near neighbors, of the same politics (Democratic) and religion (Catholics) and buried in the same cemetery at St. Ann's church nearby. They were two good, honest, law-abiding citizens. No one ever had just cause to complain of either of them. Their places in usefulness can not soon be filled. Both left children and grandchildren. Robinson left a widow, but the wife of Garlitz died some years ago. He was the last son of Christian Garlitz, who died in 1868. They were both of old Allegany county stock with large family ramifications.
