Sheneke Arline Brownlow was born March 16, 1978 in Flushing, New York to Stephanie Shriner Townsend and Luther Brownlow. Sheneke was special from the beginning. She was born with several congenital abnormalities, one of which was a rare duplication of the 12th chromosome. At 3 months, she was diagnosed with an enlarged heart. The doctors said she would probably not survive. When the doctors say "no, God says "yes". Sheneke lived with her parents in Queens, New York until January of 1984 when she relocated to Denver, Colorado. She attended Oakland Elementary School and Hamilton Middle School. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1999. Sheneke was an avid Special Olympics Athlete competing in Track and Field, Bowling, and Down Hill Skiing. She was awarded over 100 medals - Gold, Silver, Bronze and many participation ribbons. Sheneke served on the Mardi Gras Planning Committee and the Winter Games Management Team of Special Olympics. She was inducted into the Special Olympics Hall of Fame in March of 2000.

Sheneke united with Shorter Community AME Church on Sunday, December 1, 1991. A Servant Leader, she served faithfully as an Acolyte and Stewardess; a member of the Carter's Children Usher Board, Children's Choir, Ira E. Slack Women's Missionary Society, Young Women's Initiative, Young People's and Children's Division and McQueary Noel Education/Scholarship Ministry.

She worked at Shalom Denver for over sixteen (16) years performing a variety of tasks. Sheneke had many friends at work and enjoyed socializing with them.

Sheneke is survived by her loving mother Stephanie Townsend of Denver, and father, Luther Brownlow, Brooklyn, New York; Uncle, Bernard (Amy) Shriner, Thornton, Colorado; Great Aunt, Daphne Cornelius, Denver, Colorado; Aunt, Joan Lloyd, Columbia, Maryland; Uncle, Paul (Donna) Cornelius, Oak Park, Illinois; Great Uncle, Reynard (Rose Marie) Lescombe, New York City; and Great Uncle, Charles (Arlett) Booker, Bronx, New York; God-mother, Donna Swan, Richmond, Virginia; adopted Grandmother-In-Love, Gladys Hampton; Mother's-In-Love, Richelle Fry Skinner, Earline Hardy and Karen Motley Smith all of Denver; her dog, Chewy and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who were blessed to know her.

Sheneke loved the Lord and believed in His healing powers. She was a parliamentarian at best, calling all meetings to order on time and also strongly advising when it was time to leave.
Sheneke was a blessing to all she encountered.
