My favorite teacher. She was my third grade teacher at Margaret Harloe Elementary School. The best thing that she taught me I don't think you can learn from books. It was her last day of teaching because she was retiring. She would always stand at the door to the classroom and greet each student in the morning with a "good morning" and a wave or a hug. She would always say "goodbye" at the end of the day in the same way. I said goodbye to her on the last day and as I was leaving, I looked back. She was crying. That taught me that no matter what I chose to do in life, love it so much that I would hate to leave it. Thanks so much, Mrs Hartwig! I have never forgotten the lesson that you never knew you taught me.
