Roy Albert Louthan, 85, of Dixie, Okla., formerly of Galesburg, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2003, at Healdton Nursing Home in Healdton, Okla.

Born April 1, 1918, in Charleston to Walter Edward and Mallie Viola Ream Louthan, he married Nelle Elizabeth Oatman on Jan. 8, 1940, in Kahoka, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Earl Curry of Greenville, S.C., and Douglas Curry of Cameron; three daughters, Elaine Rogers of Fredonia, Ariz., Rosetta "Joyce" Brunson of Dixie and Debi Dreyer of Freeport; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and greatgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Rosetta Lee of Carlyle, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Curry; one daughter, Marjorie Elizabeth Bowman; and two brothers.

A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Ralph M. Noble American Legion Post 285.

He worked for Butler Manufacturing Co. in Galesburg for many years, retiring as an assistant foreman in 1981.

He was a member of the First Church of God.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.
