WINDSOR - Virginia Braswell O'Berry, 85, of Garrison Drive, passed away quietly April 29, 2011 in Consulate Nursing Home in Windsor. A native of Isle of Wight County, Mrs. O'Berry was a homemaker, the widow of William S. O'Berry and a member of the Living Hope Community Fellowship Church and the Adult Sunday School Class. She was the daughter of the late John Letcher Braswell and Blanche Holland Braswell. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Braswell Holland. Survivors include her nieces, Patricia Holland of Emporia, Nancy Lewing of Spurger, Texas, Connie Cox of Virginia Beach, and her nephew, Robert Holland of Williamsburg, Va., and many many nieces and nephews by marriage. A funeral will be held Monday, May 2, at 11 a.m. at Parr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, Suffolk, with the Rev. Jack Dobson officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be made to Living Hope Community Fellowship Church (formerly Pine Grove) at 10001 Fire Tower Road, Windsor, VA 23487.
