Born in Barnwell County, she was a daughter of the late C. E. Ashley and Eula Lee Ready Ashley and was married to the late James Horace Randall.
Clara was a member of Williston First Baptist Church where she was a faithful member of the Rebecca Sunday School Class and a member of the Morning Missionary Group. She worked many years with the young children at the church, starting with the nursery on up to intermediates. Children were a joy to her heart. Clara worked for Skyline Manufacturing Company and later delivered Meals on Wheels throughout the community. One of her greatest joys was being a riding or driving companion for her friends; it made her happy when someone asked her for a favor. She loved people of all ages and was ready at any time when health would permit.
Survivors include a daughter, Dixie Randall Cook of London, AR; sons, Ted (Susan) Randall of Columbia, SC, Dan (Jennifer) Randall of Irmo, SC; grandchildren, Douglas Cook, Lori (Tony) Perricelli, Katherine (John) Page, Jessica (Jay) Etherton, Rebecca (Grant) Branden; a sister, Rosa Bell Ashley, nieces, nephews and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, William Cook.
Memorials may be made to Williston Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 367, Williston, SC 29853 or Williston First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 366, Williston, SC 29853.
