Asa was the son of Ernal Ross and Opal Lenora Wiedenkofer Athon.Sept 21, 1963, he married Lois Poston in Kirksville,Adair Co. MO.Two children were born to this marriage surviving. Pamela Joyce Athon Warren and Timothy Charles Athon.
