CLYDE — Mabel Odette, 73, Clyde, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1997, at the Cloud County Health Center, Concordia.
Mrs. Odette was born Mabel Perkins on July 27, 1924, north of Clifton to Clarence and Lula Clark Perkins.
She married Raymond L Odette June 30, 1945, in Nebraska.
She worked at the Clyde Hat Shop, was head cook at the Clyde Rural High School and was director of Park Villa Nursing Home, all of Clyde. She worked at Frills and Fabrics for 12 years and in the offices of the Cloud County appraiser and register of deeds, all of Concordia.
She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, crocheting and craft work. She was a member of the Christian Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, both of Clyde.
She was preceded in death by a son, Marc Sklenicka, her parents, one brother, Raleigh Perkins, and one sister, Dorla Andrewson.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond L. Odette of Clyde; a daughter, Nancy Jones and husband Larry of Clyde; a son, Randy Odette and wife Mary of Wichita; a brother, Harold Perkins of Phillipsburg; three grandsons; Mark Jones, Philip Odette and Aaron Odette; one granddaughter, Jessica Odette; and one great-granddaughter, Hayley Jones.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday Dec. 10, at the Clyde Christian Church, the Rev. C. Milton Lenz officiating. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Clyde.
Memorials may be made to the church, Clyde Ambulance or the charity of the donor's choice.
