Funeral service was held in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, North River, on Tuesday morning, April 27, for Mrs. Ella Florence, wife of the late Gilbert Acker. Rev. Mark Winter officiated.
Born in North River, November 2, 1897, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Jane (Acker) Daniels.
She passed away on April 25 at her home in North River. Although in ill health, her death came as a shock to her family and friends.
The choir led in singing her favourite hymns, "Amazing Grace" and "The Lord's My Shepherd, with David Zwicker as organist.
She leaves to mourn her passing, a daughter, Florence (Mrs. Alvin Robar) and a son, Harold, both of North River; two brothers, Harold, Middleton; and Joseph, Toronto; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert; son Alvin; four sisters and two brothers.
