Mother of Axl Rose (Lead singer of Guns & Roses)

Sharon E. Lintner Bailey was the daughter of Anna Rosenbrock Lintner. She married William Bruce Rose on December 9, 1961, in Tippecanoe County, IN. They divorced, but had a son, Axl Rose, founder of the rock band, Guns 'n Roses.

She then married Larry "Stephen" Bailey on January 28, 1966; he survives. They were the parents of Stuart and Amy Bailey.

Sharon E. Lintner Bailey, 51, of West Lafayette, died at 11:14 PM Tuesday, May 28, 1996, in St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. Born May 24, 1945, in Lafayette, she was a lifelong resident of the area. Her marriage was to L. Stephen Bailey in Lafayette; he survives.

Mrs. Bailey graduated from Jefferson High School and received her bachelor's degree in education from Purdue University. She was a teacher with the Lafayette School Corporation, and attended Bethel Christian Life Center in West Lafayette.

Surviving with her husband are two sons and a daughter; her mother, Anna Lintner of Lafayette; and a brother, Jerry Lintner.
