Beverly June Carpenter Bever of Austin, TX, formerly of Cozad, passed away Wednesday.
June was the daughter of Arlene Drake & Darrell Fellows. She attended school in Cozad, NE.
June met then married Donald Dean "Pal" Carpenter Jan 14, 1957. They raised their children in Cozad & then chased their dreams to Texas. In 1978 they settled in the Baytown, TX area. In 1987, June earned her Professional Driver's Certification. Pal & June were then able to realize their dream of becoming an owner operator over-the-road truck driving team.
June and Pal enjoyed traveling through the United States visiting their children, grandchildren, relatives and friends. June was preceded in death by her husband, Pal in 1993.
In 1999 she met Lloyd Hughes & together they settled in Ceres, CA. June enjoyed serving concurrent terms as the Ceres Womens' Club President & Secretary. As devoted members of the Ceres Model A Car Club, June & Lloyd attended all of the events, driving both of their Model A's.
June moved to Austin, TX to be near her daughters in 2009.
June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sons Arthur Darrell & John Jay Carpenter.
Survivors include her daughters: LeeLeen (Harold) Sundbeck of Austin, TX & Valencia (Mark) Miller of Mont Belvieu, TX; stepson, Donald (Louise) Carpenter of Cozad, NE; stepdaughter, Margorie (Steve) Waldrop of San Benito, TX; 21 grandchildren; 27 gr-grandchildren; plus numerous other relatives & friends.
