After William Anselem Goodman's death in 1858, his wife (Mary Johnston) married Edwin B. Smith on 24 Dec. 1865. She had one child by this marriage, Joseph Henry Smith. She is on 1920 census in McFall, Arkansas County, Arkansas in household of her son Joseph Smith, Jr., listed as 89 years old, born Virginia. She is also listed on previous censuses with Edwin Smith, husband, and all her Goodman children from first marriage.
Mary died in Tyler Township, Prairie County, Arkansas while living with her son, Joseph Henry Smith. Her body was brought back to Pike County, Missouri where she was buried in Dover Cemetery.
Her 2nd husband Edwin B. Smith died in 1917 and is buried in Lonoke Cemetery, Lonoke County, Arkansas
