William was the son of Charles Sr & Mary [White] Tapp.
Tapp's donated land to the town of New Boston, for a park - see map to left.
William never married.
His Tapp Siblings were; Infant died young, James M, Charles Y Jr., Virginia A Tapp.
His mother married 2nd: Wm F Smith, 2 children, half siblings; Wm F Jr, Ruth A Smith.
William was a very successful business man, and made his fortune in the Drug Store business in Bowie County Texas. Also had very large land holdings, in Bowie county and Bastrop Co TX, where is father was living before he came to Bowie Co TX. The Bastrop
land might be a result of his fathers service in the Texas Revolution of 1836. Charles Sr,
received land grants in Bastrop Co TX, for his service in that revolution.
He is Buried next to his sister Jennie Tapp.
William and Jennie were the last of this lineage, after Jennie passed away, that ended the Tapp family of Bowie County Texas, for that period of time.

Tapp's donated land to the town of New Boston, for a park - see map to left.
William never married.
His Tapp Siblings were; Infant died young, James M, Charles Y Jr., Virginia A Tapp.
His mother married 2nd: Wm F Smith, 2 children, half siblings; Wm F Jr, Ruth A Smith.
William was a very successful business man, and made his fortune in the Drug Store business in Bowie County Texas. Also had very large land holdings, in Bowie county and Bastrop Co TX, where is father was living before he came to Bowie Co TX. The Bastrop
land might be a result of his fathers service in the Texas Revolution of 1836. Charles Sr,
received land grants in Bastrop Co TX, for his service in that revolution.
He is Buried next to his sister Jennie Tapp.
William and Jennie were the last of this lineage, after Jennie passed away, that ended the Tapp family of Bowie County Texas, for that period of time.
