Born September 22, 1940 in Potose, Mo. she was the daughter of the late Oscar T. Anderson and Delia A. Eaves Anderson. and lived in Joplin most of her lifetime. In addition to being a homemaker and mother. she was a waitress in her early life. She later worked many years for Pillsbury in Joplin and King Louie in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.
She married Hubert Irwin (Rattler) Alderman on August 14, 1966 in Joplin. HE preceded her in death March 28, 2008. A greatgrandson Sean also preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons; John Alderman of Grove, Okla. Stephen Alderman and Linda of Joplin, David Alferman and Lisa of Joplin, Jim ALdermanof Seneca, Mo. five daughters, Marji Shepherd and Bill of Joplin, Teresa Hall of Joplin, Cheryl Ward and Eric of Joplin, Crystal Downes and Richard of Russellville, Ark. Colleen Alderman of Joplin. 22 grandchildren, 35 greatgrandchildren, two greatgreatgrandchildren, her sister, Bess of Baxter Springs; and a aunt Elizabeth Crim of Independence Mo.
Cremation arrangememts are under the directions of Parker Mortuary. Mmemorial services will be held 1p.m. Friday at Greenwood Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Osborne Memorial Cemetery, after which the family and friends will gather at the home of a daughter. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Assn.
