OBITUARY: "Newmarket Era" August 7, 1914.

"Much sympathy is extended to Mr. Samuel Hughes and family owing to their recent bereavement in the death of Mrs. Hughes, which occurred on Wednesday. Deceased was a sufferer for a long time and death came as a release. The funeral was held on Friday, interment taking place in the Friends' Cemetery, Schomberg. Besides her husband, two sons and three daughters mourn the loss of a loving mother. They are Mrs. F. Willis, Uxbridge; Mrs. Albert Robertson and Mrs. N. Walker, Messrs. Joel and George Hughes. The funeral was largely attended."
