William Howard Ware, 89, of Baughard Hill Road, died Monday morning at Life Care Center of Greeneville.

Mr. Ware was a retired farmer.

He was a member of Harmons Valley United Methodist Church.

Mr. Ware was the widower of Leeoma Ware.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Brenda and Gary Graham of Mosheim; a son and daughter-in-law: Benjamin and Mavis Ware of Afton; four grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law: Mike and Gina Thornburg of Mosheim, Garrett Ware, Wesley Ware, and Devin Ware, all of Afton; two stepgrandchildren: Phillip Graham and his family and Esther Graham and her children, all of Greeneville; two great-grandchildren: Zachary Champion and Kayla Thornburg of Mosheim; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces; and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: Jerome Ware and Walter Ware; and two sisters: Kate Bowman and Selma Shelton.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at Kiser Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at Kiser Funeral Home with interment in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens. The Rev. Ray Penley will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Bill Hunt, Larry Hunt, Marvin Bowman, Eugene Bowman, Dale Tucker Jr., and Jimmy Sharpe.

Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Tucker, Roger and Caroll Rhea, Sammy Fillers, Gordon Miller, the staff of Life Care Center of Greeneville and Smoky Mountain Hospice, Dr. Michael Odell, Dr. Frederick Myers, David Finchum, and his friends on Baughard Hill Road
