Minnie M. Brune, 86, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at Hill Top Nursing Home, Bucklin.
She was born March 1, 1925, in Long Beach, Calif., to Earl W. and Cora L. Martz Scott. On May 31, 1949, she married Evain E. Brune at Guymon, Okla. He died June 26, 2010.
She had worked at Furr's Cafeteria and Ideal Foods.
She is survived by two brothers, Earl Wm. Scott III and wife, Rosie, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Charles Scott and wife, June, Hemet, Calif.; six sisters, Martha Rohak and husband Dennis, Russell, Minn., Ruth Trimmell, Garden City, Margaret Olgetree, Turpin, Okla., Nancy Manley and husband, Jerry, Patton, Colo., Kay Anderson, Colorado Springs, and Mary Manley and husband, Bob, Calhan, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Miller Chapel, Liberal, with Pastor Randall Janhke officiating. Interment will be in the Liberal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at Miller Mortuary, Liberal.
The family suggests memorials to Hill Top Nursing Home in care of Miller Mortuary, 908 N. Lincoln Ave., Liberal, KS 67901.
