My son was the fullfillment of all my dreams, the light of my life. The pride of his father and as perfect as the most beautiful rose. He was too beautiful and perfect to live and go through the tortures of life, pain and unhappiness that comes of growing up to be a man. Maybe too much would have been expected of him, as I wanted him to be 6 ft with blue eyes and black hair, the image of his father. If not, I would have loved him anyway that he may have turned out. I would have been so proud to have a son. He was wanted so badly and the one perfection missing meant our hearts would break. So if I never have another "I had a son". I'm so thankful I had you.
Lonnie Wayne died from a twisted bowl causing toxic poisoning. His parents, Warren Burdette and Geraldine Annette "Jerry Ann" Lingg brought him back in the casket carried in the back seat of the car, so they could bury him in Elmwood Cemetary in Woodward, OK. At the time he had two sisters, Ellen and Teresa Lingg. His Grandparents were Wayne Harold and Dorothy Marie Lingg, Irene Sutley and Marion Robertson.

Gravesite Details
The first grave marker said that Lonnie died 1955, but it was 1954. His oldest sister, Ellen has now purchased a new stone so that the generation to come after we are gone will know the real dates. Thanks Ellen. Teresa
