Annie Mae Alford McKee went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2011. Service: 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the funeral home.
Mrs. McKee was born March 17, 1926, to Emory and Annie Mae Alford in Rockdale. After high school she moved to Fort Worth where she began a career with Southwestern Bell and met her future husband. Mrs. McKee retired from Southwestern Bell after 39 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor M. McKee; grandson, Jay Michael McKee; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors: Her son, James McKee and wife, Cheryl; daughter, Shela Daniel and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Kathryn Minchew and husband, Mike, Allison Daniel and fiance, Isaac Craft, and Courtney McKee; sister and brother-in-law, Carrie and Lamar Guthrie; sister, Mary Harris; sister-in-law, Audrey Moore; and numerous nieces and nephews.
